Research Projects

SRIC cell is equipped with computerized office, and in-house banking facility. It has a competent team with the capacity to handle thousands of R&D projects at a given time frame from national and international clients. Research problems from Government, national and International clients are being handled by experts/researchers of IIT Kharagpur in the form of project.

A project sponsored by Government is typically referred here as sponsored project. While, Consultancy project pertains to projects from Industry, private or International clients. On an average, 300 new research projects are received by IIT Kharagpur in a typical year. In the last decade, SRIC has handled about 3126 research projects worth Rs. 1157 crores.
